Date un-certain. Creation is an astoundingly confusing place in which to exist. It is, in general, very unfair considering that we have no choice in the matter of coming into existence or not. We are, essentially, dumped here, with “parents” who are expected to care for us, nurture us and ensure our survival. But at the root comes the question: Why? If we do survive for any length of time, is it so much for the better? If not, what difference does it make? I was wanted, needed, cared-for and cared-about by my Mother. I was an inconvenience and, in his own terminology, a “burden” to my father. Neither of them ever failed to let me know how they felt about my arrival and my existence. Over the course of years, I battled, brutally, with this conflict, and many times I succumbed to the paternal pressure and tried to appease the wishes that I ceased to exist. Now, in 2012, I can safely say that this “Existence” is not what I would prefer it to be, but I must say that, at this juncture, I have, for the second time in my existence, been granted the privilege of referring to my time here as “Life” and not merely “existence”. For those who stumble upon this Journal, I hope it teaches you: 1. Be kind to ALL persons because YOU don’t ever truly know what they’re existence is like at present, nor from whence they have come. 2. Judge NOT. Learn about the person you have met, learn the person and then, only then, formulate opinions. 3. “Life… is not fair.” Period. 4. Re-writing your Life is not easy, but it can be done. What happened only moments ago is gone… GONE. Move forward. Or, as my motto is today: KADIMA! THRUST FORWARD into the next moment. Just focus on what comes in front of you and not what is left behind. And with each second of time, everything eventually is behind you. Don’t dwell on the inevitable failures. Move forward on the potential successes ahead. 5. Not everybody will always be kind or favourable. And it is very easy to avoid those who hinder you. “If everybody loves you… something is terribly wrong.” 6. We DO have a choice about the people with whom we associate. One person’s opinion of you truly does NOT matter in the long-run. 7. At some point in life, we ALL MUST STOP BLAMING OUR PARENTS FOR OUR PRESENT! Thank you, VT for allowing me to LIVE! I had Doug's Ford which I was supposed to make payments on and he'd promised to bring up to good condition as I paid. Many were the times when I'd made the car available to him and he never came to get it, so after a while, the inspection expired and I couldn't get the car inspected because there was something wrong with a valve! Well, I drove for as long as I could until one day, dead tired from lack of sufficient sleep and nerves (I should have just packed it all up and in and left Vermont right then, but stupid me, I kept thinking I'd give the damned place a chance), I was driving through Jericho Center and got caught by the Chittenden County sherrif who looked at the inspection AND my NY license and asked "If you bring the car in right now for an inspection, will it pass?" I was honest, too tired to fabricate a story, and said "No." 99$ fine. THEN he asked how long I'd been in Vermont and when I told him he said my license wasn't valid any longer and I had to get a Vermont license! 156$ fine unless I went immediately to get the new one. Citations/summonse for both. I had to appear in court! On 2 October, I drove (the Ford) up to the NorthEast Kingdom, Newport, and got a new license. Issued: 2 October 2012. Expired: 30 August 2014 (I thought surely I'd be out of the state and back in NY before that date. Stuid me.) I couldn't fight the inspection fine so I paid it. Later, I appeared in court, showed the sherrif the VT license and the charges were dropped. Oh... address on the license: Jericho... Vermont!
